This 2,650 square foot house is located on the banks of Firesteel Creek, just upstream from Lake Mitchell. Construction and landscaping is wrapping up. The clients are avid collectors of Mideastern and Asian rugs, tapestries, and art objects from their stays in Saudi Arabia.
They desired an efficient, open space to accomodate their collections and take advantage of a south facing, sloped site that overlooks the creek. We designed a passive solar home that features rain screen wood siding, weathering corten steel cladding, exposed concrete, floor to ceiling glass and solar shading.
