El Columpio

Spanish for "swing", El Columpio began with trading stories with the restaurateurs of visits to Mexico with its history, playfulness, materials, and a mission was born to inject the lively feeling of enjoying a swing oceanside in a cabana bar in small-town Mitchell, South Dakota. Their desire was to build a new brand to showcase their authentic Mexican cuisine combined with our desire for an architecture reflecting a culture beyond cliched sombreros and neon colors to propose new possibilities. The building features multiple ways to enjoy your meal with restaurant seating, bar style seating with swings, a ground level patio, and a roof patio.
